Orissa HC Seeks Govt Roadmap on Advanced Blood Testing Technology

Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court has sought a detailed response from the Odisha government on the adoption of advanced blood testing technology across the state, pressing for clarity on how the health system plans to upgrade diagnostic methods.

The directive comes amid concerns that existing testing techniques may not be adequate for early detection of critical infections, which could affect treatment outcomes and overall public health safety. The court has emphasised the importance of moving towards sophisticated diagnostics to ensure accuracy and reliability in blood testing across districts.

The state government has now been asked to provide information on the type of technology proposed, budgetary allocations, rollout timelines, and whether regular reviews are being undertaken to monitor progress.

Times of India reports that the High Court has directed the government to lay out its roadmap for implementing these upgrades, including how the new system will integrate with the current health infrastructure.
